When it comes to things that have weathered the test of time at Resurrection, the buildings and infrastructure aren’t the only things on the list. The signs that celebrate and mention some of the Missions’ programs and affiliations are on their last legs, and are becoming harder to read with each season.

For Resurrection’s Director of Communications & Engagement Brandon R. Vaughn, revamped signs and visuals across campus have been a priority related to his position.

“As a visual person, I figured that fresh, bold signage would remind people that we’re here to serve, here to help, and here in general. We’re doing a good job of letting people know that via social media, but I think it’s incredibly important to do so when it comes to the hundreds of drivers that pass our campus daily.”

Vaughn, who began working with Father Manuel and staff to develop updated designs, knew the project had to be tackled sooner than later.

“Our old sunbaked and faded signage had definitely seen better days,” Vaughn said. “The new signage not only livens up campus, but it reflects the energy and anticipation that much of the staff and I share when it comes to where Resurrection is headed in this 75th year and the years to follow.”

The new signage includes a large banner for Resurrection Catholic School and two large signs to greet parishioners, visitors, students, parents, and staff at the Missions’ official Forbes Drive entrance.

In the months to come, Father Manuel and staff will add additional signs to the campus light poles in an effort to further showcase student, staff, parish, and program successes through the Missions’ history.

“We’re not at all saying ‘out with the old and in with the new’,” Vaughn said. “This is just another part of keeping our campus vibrant, inviting, and beautiful.”
