The Resurrection Health Ministry Program held a luncheon on Tuesday, June 15th, 2021 for about 25 of our seniors who are fully Covid-19 vaccinated. At the conclusion of the luncheon, the seniors were given a decorated flower pot with a succulent plant. A healthy recipe for Split Pea Soup was also offered to the attendees, along with bags of green and/or yellow split peas. The event was a lot of fun and the seniors were truly happy to be among their fellow parishioners and friends again.

Sr. Gilda Bell, Michelle Coe and Wanda Twitty organized the event, and prepared the food in compliance with the Nutrition Policy of the Health Ministry Program. The Nutrition Policy requires that healthy options are offered at all events where food is served to members of the community. Derrika Vaughans from The Wellness Coalition attended the luncheon to take photos and to report back to TWC.
