Here at Resurrection, it makes our staff feel good when we can, through our Interfaith Community Outreach (ICO) program, deliver food and household items to our seniors and families in need. Yesterday, we learned firsthand that is feels just as incredible to receive a loving delivery of food items and support that will help us continue the program’s important work.

The staff of Resurrection was blessed Thursday to be visited by a few young ladies on behalf of the youth of Montgomery’s Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Chaperoned by Katherine Rodman, the young ladies provided the Resurrection food pantry with more than 10 recyclable bags filled with pasta, canned goods, and other non-perishables ready to be delivered to ICO participants.

According to Rodman, the donations gathered by the youth were provided to Resurrection through a few fundraisers and were delivered in hopes of helping those who will truly appreciate the gesture.

We at Resurrection would like to thank Immanuel Presbyterian Church, Ms. Phyllis Ward, and the congregation’s youth for such a beneficial and heartfelt donation, and we look forward to continuing our longstanding relationship with Immanuel Presbyterian for years to come.
