Last week, a group of students from Resurrection Catholic School made the trip northeast to Tuskegee to see and tour the historic Tuskegee University – one of the nation’s 101 recognized historically black colleges and universities. Not only did the students get to see the campus and get a taste of student life, but they also got to learn more about Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver, and a number of other notable figures synonymous with the rich history of Tuskegee Institute – now proudly known as Tuskegee University.
